Litchfield, Minnesota – Today, Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach, Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s Seventh District, officially filed her candidacy with the Minnesota Secretary of State.
“One-party rule by the Democrats in Washington, D.C. has been devastating to the economy of western Minnesota and the nation,” said Fischbach. “It’s been my priority since taking office to make sure our rural communities are strong. I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for them, especially to undo the damage of high inflation and strangling regulations on our families, farms and businesses.”
“Congresswoman Fischbach has been a solid advocate at the federal level for rural Minnesota and our way of life,” said Craig Bishop, Chairman for the Seventh District Republican Party. “In her first 16 months, she has worked towards solutions for rural broadband, a return to energy independence, access to the Northwest Angle, and free and open trade. She has also defended the traditional values of rural communities, such as fiscal responsibility and protecting life. We are pleased to support the re-election of Michelle Fischbach.”
“I am honored to represent the Seventh District in Congress, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue as their voice in Washington, D.C.,” concluded Fischbach.

THE HONORABLE KELLYANNE CONWAY HEADLINED FISCHBACH EVENT
President Trump’s former campaign manager stressed the President’s support
Litchfield, MN – Today, the Fischbach for Congress campaign announced that the Honorable Kellyanne Conway was a special guest during a virtual event on Monday, August 10. The online forum featured remarks from Ms. Conway and questions from participants. Ms. Conway stressed the importance of Minnesota to the President as well as his strong support for Fischbach’s campaign.
“Since 2016, what the democrat party has become is unrecognizable to me, as somebody who has plenty of democrats in my family growing up,” explained Ms. Conway. “The choice could not be more stark; the stakes could not be any higher. We need to make sure we have people like Michelle in Congress, who will fight every single day on behalf of an agenda that is for freedom and free markets, and will fight every single day on behalf of you.”
“It was an honor to welcome Ms. Conway to join us for an event,” said Fischbach. “As the first woman in U.S history to run a successful presidential campaign, we were inspired to learn more about her story, her motivation, and her insights about leadership.”
Ms. Conway was working as a Republican pollster when then-candidate Donald Trump asked her to be his campaign manager in August 2016.
PRESIDENT TRUMP ASKS 7th REPUBLICANS TO VOTE FOR FISCHBACH IN TOMORROW’S PRIMARY ELECTION
LITCHFIELD, MN – President Donald J. Trump, who endorsed Michelle Fischbach in March, today asked 7th District Republicans to vote for Fischbach in tomorrow’s Minnesota Primary Election. In addition to the President’s backing, Fischbach has been endorsed by Vice President Mike Pence, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, the 7th District Republican Party, dozens of local Republican legislators and conservative activists, and pro-life groups across the country.
“Vote for Michelle – a real winner!” President Trump wrote on Twitter.
Minnesota’s Seventh District is one of the top ten pick-up opportunities in the country for U.S. House Republicans. President Trump carried the district by over 30 points in 2016.
LITCHFIELD, MN – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump- and Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s 7th District, today reported being the top raising republican candidate in the history of the district.
Fischbach for Congress, Fischbach’s federal campaign committee, will report over $1 million raised for the pre-primary reporting period ending July 22, 2020. In the eight days since that deadline, Fischbach has received enough contributions to become the highest raising Republican candidate in the district’s history. She hit that mark in only eleven months of campaigning as compared to a full two year cycle.
“Michelle Fischbach continues to run a high level and competitive campaign the likes of which our district has rarely seen in the past 30 years,” said Craig Bishop, Chairman of the Seventh Congressional District Republicans. “Republicans across western Minnesota are excited for the chance to send a new conservative voice to represent us in Washington, D.C. next year.”

Litchfield, Minnesota – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for Minnesota’s 7th District and former Lt. Governor of Minnesota, today reported over $317k of receipts in her second quarterly filing of the year with the Federal Election Commission.
Fischbach for Congress, Fischbach’s federal campaign committee, raised over $317k and has almost $435k cash-on-hand for the reporting period ending June 30, 2020. Fischbach has outraised the incumbent Congressman Collin Peterson in every full quarter since she entered the race last fall. In this reporting quarter, she surpassed Peterson by almost $40,000. Fischbach has raised over $910,000 in the ten months of her campaign.
“The contrast in the base of support for these two candidates could not be more stark. Hard-working, everyday people from western Minnesota and across the country are backing Michelle,” observed David FitzSimmons, Fischbach’s Campaign Manager. “On the other hand, Washington, D.C. PACs and special interest groups are desperately trying to send Peterson back for another term so he can vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker again.”
Key points from Fischbach’s fundraising efforts:
– Outraised incumbent Peterson for a record setting third consecutive quarter;
– Over 6,000 individual donors, triple the amount from last quarter;
– 94% of donors gave $200 or less;
– By comparison, 75% of Peterson’s contributions come from PAC’s.

Litchfield, Minnesota – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump- and Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s Seventh District, today announced she received the endorsement of State Senator Torrey Westrom (R-Elbow Lake).
“I am happy to join President Trump, so many fellow legislators, and the grassroots republicans of Congressional District Seven in endorsing Michelle Fischbach for Congress,” stated Westrom. “Michelle brings with her the experience and conservative principles necessary to represent the people of this district.
“While serving alongside Michelle in the legislature, I watched her passionately fight democrat attempts to impose harmful ‘one size fits all’ policies on rural Minnesota. As Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Development Finance committee, I knew that I could count on Michelle’s vote to fight burdensome regulations and job killing taxes. She always stood up for farmers and rural communities, and I am confident that she will do the same in Congress.
“President Trump is working tirelessly to get our country back on track, but he needs allies in Congress to work with him and support his agenda. Collin Peterson has not been that ally. In fact, Collin votes against President Trump nearly 80% of the time, siding with Nancy Pelosi instead. Michelle, on the other hand, has the president’s “complete and total” endorsement and wants to work with him to support western Minnesotans and our conservative values. Please join me in supporting our president by supporting Michelle Fischbach!”
Senator Westrom was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1996. In 2012, he was elected to the Minnesota Senate, where he currently serves as the Agriculture, Rural Development and Housing Finance Committee Chairman. In 2014, Senator Westrom ran as the Republican candidate for the Seventh Congressional District.
“Senator Westrom has always been a leader when it comes to supporting our farmers and our agricultural economy,” Fischbach stated. “I am proud of the work that we did for farmers while in the Minnesota Senate, and I’m honored to have his confidence and endorsement.”
