FISCHBACH OUTRAISES PETERSON – AGAIN

FISCHBACH OUTRAISES PETERSON – AGAIN

Litchfield, Minnesota – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for Minnesota’s 7th District and former Lt. Governor of Minnesota, today reported over $317k of receipts in her second quarterly filing of the year with the Federal Election Commission.

Fischbach for Congress, Fischbach’s federal campaign committee, raised over $317k and has almost $435k cash-on-hand for the reporting period ending June 30, 2020.  Fischbach has outraised the incumbent Congressman Collin Peterson in every full quarter since she entered the race last fall.  In this reporting quarter, she surpassed Peterson by almost $40,000. Fischbach has raised over $910,000 in the ten months of her campaign.

“The contrast in the base of support for these two candidates could not be more stark. Hard-working, everyday people from western Minnesota and across the country are backing Michelle,” observed David FitzSimmons, Fischbach’s Campaign Manager.  “On the other hand, Washington, D.C. PACs and special interest groups are desperately trying to send Peterson back for another term so he can vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker again.”

Key points from Fischbach’s fundraising efforts:

–          Outraised incumbent Peterson for a record setting third consecutive quarter;

–          Over 6,000 individual donors, triple the amount from last quarter;

–          94% of donors gave $200 or less;

–          By comparison, 75% of Peterson’s contributions come from PAC’s.

Minnesota’s Seventh District is one of the top ten pick-up opportunities in the country for U.S. House Republicans. President Trump carried the district by over 30 points in 2016.

SENATOR TORREY WESTROM ENDORSES FISCHBACH

SENATOR TORREY WESTROM ENDORSES FISCHBACH

Litchfield, Minnesota – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump- and Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s Seventh District, today announced she received the endorsement of State Senator Torrey Westrom (R-Elbow Lake).

“I am happy to join President Trump, so many fellow legislators, and the grassroots republicans of Congressional District Seven in endorsing Michelle Fischbach for Congress,” stated Westrom. “Michelle brings with her the experience and conservative principles necessary to represent the people of this district.

“While serving alongside Michelle in the legislature, I watched her passionately fight democrat attempts to impose harmful ‘one size fits all’ policies on rural Minnesota. As Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Development Finance committee, I knew that I could count on Michelle’s vote to fight burdensome regulations and job killing taxes. She always stood up for farmers and rural communities, and I am confident that she will do the same in Congress.

“President Trump is working tirelessly to get our country back on track, but he needs allies in Congress to work with him and support his agenda. Collin Peterson has not been that ally. In fact, Collin votes against President Trump nearly 80% of the time, siding with Nancy Pelosi instead. Michelle, on the other hand, has the president’s “complete and total” endorsement and wants to work with him to support western Minnesotans and our conservative values. Please join me in supporting our president by supporting Michelle Fischbach!”

Senator Westrom was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1996. In 2012, he was elected to the Minnesota Senate, where he currently serves as the Agriculture, Rural Development and Housing Finance Committee Chairman. In 2014, Senator Westrom ran as the Republican candidate for the Seventh Congressional District.

“Senator Westrom has always been a leader when it comes to supporting our farmers and our agricultural economy,” Fischbach stated. “I am proud of the work that we did for farmers while in the Minnesota Senate, and I’m honored to have his confidence and endorsement.”

SUSAN B. ANTHONY LIST ENDORSES FISCHBACH

SUSAN B. ANTHONY LIST ENDORSES FISCHBACH

Litchfield, Minnesota – The Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced today its endorsement of Michelle Fischbach, the Trump- and Republican-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s 7th District.

“We are proud to endorse former Lieutenant Governor Michelle Fischbach, a longtime champion for unborn children and their mothers. Michelle is exactly the type of candidate that SBA List was founded to support. She beautifully embodies our mission to end abortion through the promotion of pro-life leadership, with a special calling to promote women,” said SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs Marilyn Musgrave. “Michelle will proudly fight for President Trump’s pro-life policies and her voice will be an important counter to the extreme abortion agenda that Nancy Pelosi is aggressively pushing in the U.S. House.”

SBA List is a network of more than 837,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.

“The right to life is paramount; I have always fought for the rights of the unborn and the most vulnerable in our society,” Fischbach stated. “I am proud to have endorsements from the National Right to Life and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, and now the Susan B. Anthony List. Collin Peterson says he is pro-life, but his pro-life rating is around 50%. I don’t think being pro-life half the time is good enough. I voted 100% pro-life in the Minnesota Senate, and you can count on me to vote 100% pro-life in Congress.”

Minnesota’s Seventh District is one of the top pick-up opportunities in the country for U.S. House Republicans. President Trump carried the district by over 30 points in 2016, and it currently has a voter index of Republican+12.

LITCHFIELD, MN – Michelle Fischbach, the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for Minnesota’s 7th District and former Lt. Governor of Minnesota, today won a hard-fought battle for the 7th District Republican Party’s endorsement to run against Collin Peterson in the general election this fall.

“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of the 7th District Republican Party,” said Fischbach. “We’re excited to unify conservatives in western Minnesota and work hard to send President Trump a Republican Majority in the U.S. House. In Congress, I will be a fresh new voice for the people of western Minnesota and help President Trump rebuild our economy, secure our borders, and keep America safe.”

Over 300 delegates, representing each of the 7th District’s 38 counties participated in the convention via teleconference. Fischbach won the endorsement on the ninth ballot with 65% of the vote, never having trailed.

In nominating Fischbach, Congressman Pete Stauber said, “Two years ago, they told me it couldn’t be done, but you know what? We proved them wrong, and we turned northeastern Minnesota red. Now it’s your turn to make history in Minnesota’s 7th District. Michelle Fischbach is a proven conservative leader and exactly what America needs in Congress. With your help, let’s send Michelle to Washington. I believe the future of our country will be defined by strong conservative women, and Michelle is exactly that. President Trump and I need her help. We need Michelle to help us take back the majority and retire Nancy Pelosi as speaker once and for all. I know what it takes to flip a blue seat red and so does Michelle. Let’s send Michelle Fischbach to Congress.”

National Communications Director for President Trump’s re-election campaign, Tim Murtaugh, introduced Fischbach saying, “Thank you, Minnesota, for all of the support you have given President Trump over the years, and let’s also remember that this November we have to defeat Collin Peterson once and for all. President Trump is very excited to have Michelle Fischbach on the ballot. She will be a strong pro-life voice, a defender of our families, our borders, and the second amendment. She will also fight for farmers, for small businesses, and for the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States. Thank you again for your strong support for President Trump and for Michelle Fischbach, as we look forward to the president’s re-election and the defeat of Collin Peterson.”

In her message to the delegates, Fischbach highlighted President Trump’s endorsement of her campaign and made the case for the importance of unity in defeating Collin Peterson this fall.

Michelle has our complete endorsement.”

The Backers’ endorsement comes on the heels of Fischbach being named a Young Gun “Contender” on Monday and is the latest signal that Fischbach is the clear front-runner to win the 7th District Republican Party’s endorsement on Saturday, May 2.

LITCHFIELD, MN – Following the news that Collin Peterson will seek reelection in Minnesota’s 7th District, Trump endorsed candidate and former Lt. Governor Michelle Fischbach released the following statement:

“I look forward to holding Collin Peterson accountable over the next eight months for his record of enabling the socialists in his party and obstructing President Trump’s agenda by voting against the president over 75% of the time.

“The people of the 7th District support President Trump, and they will soundly reject Collin Peterson and the socialist policies of open borders, free health care for illegal immigrants, taxpayer-funded abortion, and mandatory gun buyback programs that his preferred presidential candidate supports.”
